Sound Beach Advisory provides tailored guidance and customized solutions for emerging private fund managers on investor relations programs, both at a strategic and implementation level. We help managers improve retention and streamline the fundraising process by strengthening touchpoints with your current investor base and more precisely articulating your story to prospects.

How We Work Together:

  • Ongoing/Retainer Basis: We serve as an extension of your team on a longer-term basis to fulfill an ongoing need where a full-time, in-house resource is not necessary.

  • Ad-Hoc/Project Based: We serve as an interim outside resource to fulfill specific, project-based needs.

Katherine Robie, CFA

Founder

Sound Beach Advisory was founded in 2023 by Katie Robie to fulfill an unmet need in the market for customized, expert-level guidance and execution on institutional-caliber investor relations programs for emerging private equity and venture capital fund managers.

Prior to founding Sound Beach Advisory, Katie worked successfully in the alternative investments industry for over a decade in a range of investor-facing and capital-raising roles. She most recently served as Director of Investor Relations for a $750mm AUM multi-family office exclusively focused on alternatives, and previously held a similar role for several years for an early-stage venture capital firm. Earlier in her career, she spent time at KKR and Third Avenue Management.

Katie has been a speaker at industry conferences and has been a featured author in PE Hub and Venture Capital Journal. She is a cum laude graduate of Vanderbilt University, is a CFA Charterholder and lives in Greenwich, CT with her husband and two young sons.
